BUFT Leo Club organises blood donation programme
BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) organised a blood donation programme on 20 January 2026 at the university's multipurpose hall, led by the Leo Club of BUFT in collaboration with the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society.
The programme saw active participation from faculty members, officers, staff and students, highlighting the university community's commitment to humanitarian service and voluntary blood donation. Organisers said the initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation and to support patients in need through safe and voluntary contributions.
The event was attended by Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BUFT; Mohammed Nasir, Member of the Board of Trustees; Ayub Nabi Khan, Adviser of BUFT; Md Alamgir Hossain, Acting Vice-Chancellor; and Md Rafiquzzaman, Registrar of BUFT.
Also present were Mohammad Imtiaj, Director of Public Relations; Shahana Zafor, Director of the Blood Programme of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society; Zahidur Rahman, Deputy Director; Md Majibur Rahman, Director (Planning and Development) of BUFT; and Sabbir Ahmed Abir, Adviser of the Leo Club, along with club members and officials of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society.
The distinguished guests praised the BUFT Leo Club and the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society for organising the timely initiative and encouraging voluntary blood donation among young people.
