BSMRAAU hosts workshop on space robotics

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and AI and Robotics Club (BAIRC) organised a workshop titled "Space Robotics Education, Research and Entrepreneurship: Bangladesh and Global Perspective" at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University, Dhaka Campus.

Respected Vice-Chancellor Air Vice Marshal A K M Manirul Bahar, OSP, BSP, ndc, hdmc, afwc, psc, ADWC was the workshop's chief guest.

The chief guest greeted everyone in attendance, emphasised the significance of the unique occasion, and gave his insightful speech in his introductory remarks. The workshop's main draw was the keynote address by renowned engineer, scientist, and educator Mizanul H Chowdhury.  Mr Chowdhury, Chief Architect, Technical Expert, MIT Zero Robotics Project Administrator, and Founder of Stemx365, shared his extensive expertise. With a career spanning groundbreaking projects at NASA and MIT. The workshop attendees covered the potential of space robotics, worldwide trends in education and research, new positions in Bangladesh's space-technology industry, and chances for skill development, entrepreneurship, and startup creation. A few ideas by young, gifted robotics club members and an interactive session with the Bangladesh Kibo Robot Programming Challenge winners are also displayed. The workshop was concluded with the remarks of Pro-Vice Chancellor of BSMRAAU, Air Commodore Md. Moinul Hasnain, BP, ndc, afwc, psc, PEng, Engg followed by IQAC Director Air Commodore Md Abdus Salam, BPP, psc (retd).
