BSMA forms new executive council for 2025–27
Mohammad Jahangir Alam has been elected President of the Bangladesh Steel Manufacturers Association (BSMA), while Dr Sumon Chowdhury has been elected Secretary General.
The election took place at the 13th annual general meeting of the Bangladesh Steel Manufacturers Association, held on 20 December 2025 at Banani Club, Dhaka. The meeting also elected the executive council of the association for the 2025–26 and 2026–27 terms.
Muhammad Shahidullah was elected Senior Vice-President, while Amer Ali Hossain, Md Abdus Salam, and Maruf Mohsin were elected Vice-Presidents.

Furkan Mohammad N Hossain and Md Zakaria (Zaki) were elected Joint Secretaries. Md Saifur Rahman Khokon was elected Finance Director, Soumitra Kumar Mutsuddi International Affairs Director, Shahriar Jahan Organising Director, and Mohammad Sarwar Alam Publicity Director.
Sheikh Masadul Alam Masud, Mohammad Israel, Ashraf Siddiqui, Sayan Siraj, and Md Hasan Mia were elected Directors.
