BSFIC holds training on case, office management for officials
Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC) organised a day-long training workshop for 30 officials on case management, writing annual confidential reports, government service rules, and office management.
According to a press release, BSFIC Chairman Md Shamsuzzaman Suruj inaugurated the workshop at 10 am on 3 September 2026 on the ninth floor of the Sugar Industry Building.
The workshop was titled "Case Management, Annual Confidential Report (ACR) Writing, Government Servants' Code of Conduct, Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules 2018 (Amended), and Office Management".

The workshop aimed to enhance administrative efficiency, ensure proper management of legal matters, and raise officials' awareness of compliance with government regulations.
Speaking as chief guest at the inaugural ceremony, Md Shamsuzzaman Suruj said, "Knowledge of service rules, disciplinary rules and office management is very important for officials of government and statutory organisations to ensure dynamism and transparency in administrative work."
"Proper case management and the evaluation of annual confidential reports play an important role in maintaining administrative discipline and transparency," he added.
He expressed hope that the participating officials would apply the knowledge acquired through the training in their workplaces.
Joint Secretary and Director of Sugar Development and Research Dr Abdul Alim Khan, Joint Secretary and Director of Production and Engineering Mohammad Saeed-ur-Rahman, Joint Secretary and Director of Finance Tahmina Akhter, Director of Commercial Azharul Islam, and BSFIC Secretary Mohammad Mujibur Rahman attended the event as special guests.
Heads of different departments and senior BSFIC officials were also present.
Expert trainers discussed the practical aspects of the Government Servants' Code of Conduct, implementation of the amended Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules 2018, government document management, and case handling.
