ONE Bank, Alpha Islami Life sign premium collection deal
ONE Bank PLC and Alpha Islami Life Insurance PLC have signed an agreement to facilitate premium collection for the insurer's policyholders through the bank's branches and digital payment platforms.
Alpha Islami Life Insurance CEO Nura Alam Siddikie Ovee and ONE Bank Acting Managing Director Shabbir Ahmed signed the agreement, according to a press release.
Under the agreement, Alpha Islami Life policyholders can pay premiums at ONE Bank's branches and through its digital payment channels, making payments faster and more accessible.

Representing Alpha Islami Life at the signing ceremony were Deputy Managing Director, Training Shajedul Bari; Deputy Managing Director, Operations Mohammad Shah Alam (Mamun); Assistant Managing Director and Head of ICT Mohammad Nazmul Akbar Jewel; Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Group and Health Insurance Department Md Shahadat Hossain; and Executive Vice President and Head of Finance and Accounts Md Alamgir Alam.
ONE Bank was represented by Deputy Managing Director and Head of Transaction and Investment Banking Division Iftekhar Ahmed Zafar; Additional Deputy Managing Director and Chief Information Officer of the Information Technology Division AYM Mostafa; Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Treasury Mirza Ashraf Ahmad; Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Pankoj Suter; and Senior Assistant Vice President and Head of Public Sector (Liability) Abdul Zabed.
ONE Bank said the partnership would strengthen its payment collection capabilities by bringing insurance premium payments into its growing digital ecosystem.
Policyholders will also be able to pay their premiums through ONEApp, OK Wallet, and other digital payment channels.
