British Council invites applications for 12th study uk alumni awards

The British Council, the UK's international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, has invited applications for the twelfth edition of its prestigious Study UK Alumni Awards.
The awards recognise leaders who have used their UK education to make significant contributions to their communities, industries, and countries.
The awards honour achievements in four categories: Science and Sustainability; Culture, Creativity and Sport; Social Action; and Business and Innovation. Alumni can compete at both national and global levels. The four global winners will be selected from 28 finalists by a panel of judges. Global winners will raise their international profiles, expand professional networks, and participate in a dedicated networking visit to the UK. Bangladesh will also host a national ceremony to honour its finalists.
Applications close on 16 October 2025. The Bangladesh winners will be announced in December 2025, while the global winners will be announced in August 2026.
Stephen Forbes, Country Director Bangladesh, British Council, said:
"The Study UK Alumni Awards provide a unique opportunity for UK alumni to showcase their contributions and impact. It also highlights the long-term value of a UK education worldwide. This platform inspires alumni to reflect with pride and motivates the next generation to pursue their aspirations and create positive change."
Last year, over 1,300 applications were submitted from nearly 100 countries. The eleventh edition, celebrated in Dhaka in February 2025, recognised winners and finalists from diverse fields.
