British Council to host virtual pre-departure briefing for UK-bound students

The British Council will host a virtual Study UK Pre-Departure Briefing on 29 July from 3:30pm to 5:30pm for Bangladeshi students preparing to pursue higher education in the United Kingdom.
This interactive session aims to equip students with essential information and practical guidance on topics ranging from visa application procedures to adapting to life and academic culture in the UK.
Representatives from UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), UK universities, and the British Universities' International Liaison Association (BUILA) will join the event. Current students and recent alumni will also share personal insights and experiences, offering participants a realistic perspective on university life in the UK.
Key areas of discussion will include travel and packing advice, budgeting, accommodation, accessing healthcare services, insurance, and mental health support for international students.
UKVI officials will provide the latest updates on the student visa process and address queries from participants. Students who have received an offer from a UK higher education institution are encouraged to attend.
Interested students can register through the British Council's website. Upon registration, detailed joining instructions will be shared prior to the event.
