Bridges division stresses quality and progress in Dhaka–Ashulia project

Mohammad Abdur Rouf, Secretary of the Bridges Division and Executive Director of the Bangladesh Bridges Authority, inspected the Dhaka–Ashulia Elevated Expressway construction today, 7 October 2025.
Following the inspection, he held a meeting with the project director, representatives of the contracting organisations and other project officials in the conference room at the project's stake yard-4 by-pile site.
During the meeting, the Bridges Division Secretary issued instructions to ensure the project's quality and timely completion.
He emphasised the importance of maintaining constant communication with all relevant stakeholders to promptly address challenges and expedite overall progress.
He also directed the project director to ensure efficient utilisation of the funds allocated for the current financial year.
The Secretary noted that Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan, Adviser to the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, had provided special guidance for the Dhaka–Ashulia Elevated Expressway project.
He also emphasised the importance of proper traffic management and public safety, and instructed officials to deploy additional manpower to minimise public inconvenience caused by the construction.
