BRAC Bank hosts capacity-building training for women entrepreneurs in Narayanganj

BRAC Bank, in collaboration with Bangladesh Open-Source Network (BdOSN), organised a training programme in Narayanganj to strengthen the capacity of women entrepreneurs across Bangladesh. The three-day programme, held at Shilpakala Academy from 25–27 August 2025, brought together 35 women entrepreneurs for intensive training, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
The initiative is part of 'Amrai TARA', BRAC Bank's signature entrepreneur development programme, supported by the Gates Foundation. The training focused on enhancing business knowledge, improving market access, and promoting long-term empowerment through finance, mentorship, and digital skills development.
BdOSN experts guided participants on utilising digital tools, e-commerce, and social commerce channels to expand their businesses.
Distinguished guests included Munir Hasan, President, BdOSN; Alomgir Hossain, Head of Small Business (Central) and Distributor Finance, BRAC Bank; and Khadija Mariam, Head of Women Entrepreneur Cell, BRAC Bank. Speakers highlighted the importance of inclusive entrepreneurship for Bangladesh's economic growth and commended BRAC Bank for its support of women-led enterprises.
