BRAC Bank embeds field visits in new hire onboarding

BRAC Bank, in collaboration with BRAC, has introduced a structured exposure visit programme for all new recruits, integrating field-level learning into its onboarding process.
Held twice a month with support from BRAC, the world's largest NGO, the visits engage around 80 new coworkers each month, totaling nearly 1,000 annually. Leadership visits for senior management are also organised twice a year to share strategic perspectives.
The programme familiarises participants with the founding vision that links BRAC and BRAC Bank, offering them first-hand exposure to BRAC's work in financial inclusion, education, healthcare, climate resilience, and livelihoods. Field immersions include interactions with community members, observations of service delivery, and structured debriefs.
By connecting banking services with grassroots development, the initiative equips new recruits with a deeper sense of purpose and practical knowledge, fostering a values-driven workforce and strengthening the bank's commitment to delivering purpose-led services.
