BRAC Bank brings agents together at Cox’s Bazar meeting
BRAC Bank has convened its inaugural 'Agent Engagement Meeting' in Cox's Bazar, uniting agents from Cox's Bazar and Lohagara.
The event, held on 5 April 2026, provided a forum to address the current landscape, challenges, and emerging opportunities in agent banking, with the aim of advancing financial inclusion and driving business expansion.
The event was attended by Nazmur Rahim, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Alternate Banking Channels; Nazmul Hasan, Head of Agent Banking; Faisal Islam, Regional Coordinator; Saiful Islam, Team Lead; and local officials and regional agent partners.
In-depth discussions addressed field-level challenges, practical solutions, and strategic guidance to enhance operational efficiency and support sustainable growth.
Insights from grassroots experiences identified key priorities for improving service delivery and extending business outreach.
Key topics included maintaining appropriate mother account balances, ensuring ethical transactions, meeting business targets through structured initiatives, and accelerating growth in agent banking operations.
The agenda also covered strengthening know-your-customer compliance, ensuring secure account opening, enhancing monitoring of digital transactions, proactive customer acquisition, reactivating dormant accounts, and maintaining rigorous adherence to regulatory standards.
BRAC Bank reiterated its commitment to collaborative initiatives, stating these efforts will further reinforce its agent banking operations and contribute to Bangladesh's sustainable economic growth.
