Bkash collaborates with Bangladesh police to curb criminal misuse of mfs

The Mymensingh and Bandarban district police, in collaboration with bKash, recently held two workshops on preventing the criminal misuse of mobile financial services.
A total of 130 investigating officers from both districts participated in the day-long sessions held at the respective police lines drill sheds. Mymensingh Superintendent of Police Kazi Akhtar Ul Alam and Bandarban Superintendent of Police Md. Shahidullah Kowsar, PPM (Bar), attended as a chief guests, while Major A K M Monirul Karim (retd), EVP & Head of External Affairs of bKash, also joined.
The workshops trained officers to use digital transaction trails to identify criminal gangs, recover lost money, and prevent crimes such as kidnapping through transaction monitoring. Officers leveraged advanced technology and coordinated directly with bKash for investigations.
Since 2017, bKash has held similar workshops nationwide, benefiting nearly 4,500 law enforcement officials.
