Bengal Commercial Bank marks sixth year of operations
Bengal Commercial Bank has marked its sixth anniversary, reaffirming a commitment to seamless customer service, robust regulatory compliance and broadening financial inclusion.
The bank commemorated the milestone with a ceremony on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, in the capital.
Within a brief span, Bengal Commercial Bank has expanded to 34 branches nationwide, including four full-fledged Islamic banking branches. Since inception, the bank has prioritised the CMSME sector, contributing to Bangladesh's wider economic progress.
The bank underscored achievements such as attaining an AA- credit rating and launching advanced digital banking services.
Bengal Commercial Bank Chairman Md Jashim Uddin, also president of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), expressed gratitude to customers, partners and employees for their sustained trust and collaboration.
He identified the CMSME sector as a key driver of the national economy and affirmed the bank's ongoing support for its sustainable growth.
Managing Director Tarik Morshed reiterated that compliance, enhanced customer service and inclusive banking remain core priorities.
Vice Chairman Engineer Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir, board directors, senior management, and key stakeholders attended the event.
The ceremony included cake-cutting, prayers and an iftar mahfil.
Anniversary celebrations were held at all branches and sub-branches nationwide, featuring doa and iftar mahfils for customers, patrons and well-wishers.
