BATA Bangladesh opens largest franchise store at csd tower
Bata Bangladesh has opened its largest franchise store at the CSD Tower in Dhaka Cantonment, marking a significant milestone in the company's retail expansion across Bangladesh.
The opening ceremony was jointly inaugurated by Faria Yasmin, Managing Director of Bata Bangladesh, and Brigadier General Md Mozammel Hossain, Managing Director of the Canteen Stores Department.
Senior officials from both organisations attended the event, including Arfanul Hoque, Retail Director; Malik Kabir, Head of Human Resources; Nusrat Hasan, Head of Marketing; and Shahjahan Sunny, Head of Franchise from Bata Bangladesh. Representatives from CSD included Major Mir Ikhtiar Uddin Ahmed, Head of Central Planning and Procurement; Lieutenant Colonel Md Asif Abdur Rauf, Head of Shops Operation; Major Md Shakhawat Hossain Khan (Retd.), Chief Financial Officer, Marketing and Customer Relationship; and Md Shamsujjaman, Senior Manager.
The new outlet spans approximately 1,500 square feet and is located within the CSD Tower, a government-run retail facility under the Ministry of Defence. The Canteen Stores Department plays a key role in providing access to essential goods at subsidised prices, with a focus on quality and affordability, primarily serving the welfare needs of defence personnel.
Through its presence at the CSD Tower, Bata aims to offer eligible CSD customers convenient access to a wide selection of footwear while strengthening its retail footprint in the country.
Officials stated the partnership aligns with Bata's broader vision of inclusive retail growth and supports institutions contributing to national service and welfare.
