Bangladesh-China Green Textile Expo 2025 kicks off in Dhaka

The inauguration ceremony of the Bangladesh–China Green Textile Expo (BCGTX) 2025, the country's most specialised international exhibition dedicated to the green textile industry, was held today at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.
The three-day exhibition has been organised by Savor International Limited, co-organised by the Chinese Enterprises Association in Bangladesh (CEAB), with the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Shanghai Climate Week as associate partners.
Focusing on sustainable and eco-friendly textile technologies, the expo has brought together leading textile and garment companies from Bangladesh and China, as well as investors, technologists and industry leaders.
The event was inaugurated by His Excellency Mr Yao Wen, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bangladesh, as chief guest.
Special guests included Mr Mijanur Rahman, Vice President (Finance), BGMEA; Brigadier General S M Zahid Hassan, Chairman, Bangladesh Textile Mills Corporation (BTMC); Mohd Khorshed Alam, President, Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI); Mr Han Kun, President, CEAB; Mrs Guan Jie, Executive Secretary General, Shanghai Climate Week Executive Committee; Professor Fu Jiajia, College of Textile Science and Engineering, Jiangnan University; Mr Ge Zhenyu (Mike Ge), President, Textile and Garment Branch, CEAB; and Mr Md Faizul Alam, Managing Director, Savor International Limited.
The exhibition showcases eco-friendly, recyclable textile technologies and features business-to-business meetings, seminars and panel discussions involving leading entrepreneurs from both countries.
The Bangladesh–China Green Textile Expo 2025 will remain open to all visitors from 23 to 25 October 2025, daily from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
