Ashiyan group develops 1,000-acre housing project in capital
A modern residential project, 'Ashiyan City', is being developed on around 1,000 acres of land in the heart of the capital by leading real estate developer Ashiyan Group.
The project is located at Kawla in Dakshinkhan, adjacent to the Haji Camp area, opposite Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, spanning Wards 48 and 49 of Dhaka North City Corporation.
According to company officials, the project currently offers ready-to-build plots of three, five and ten kathas. Land has also been earmarked within the project area for schools, colleges, madrasas and a university to support educational infrastructure.
Ashiyan Group said the entire project is expected to be completed by 2027. Against the backdrop of soaring land prices in Dhaka, the company claims the project aims to provide a planned housing solution within an affordable range for people from different income groups.
Deputy Managing Director of Ashiyan Group Md Saiful Islam said, "Our objective is to develop a residential project where people can fulfil their dream of owning a home within their means. Ashiyan City is being developed with that goal in mind."
The company has also announced time-bound promotional offers for customers during an ongoing fair period, subject to specific booking and payment conditions.
Beyond housing, Ashiyan Group has invested in other key sectors, including healthcare. An Ashiyan Hospital, equipped with modern medical facilities, has already been launched adjacent to Ashiyan City. The Ashiyan Medical College Hospital features cabins and general wards, consultant chambers, operation theatres, ICU and CCU facilities, a cath lab, dental and dialysis units, diagnostic laboratories, a Covid-19 unit and 24-hour emergency services. A medical college affiliated with the hospital has received government approval.
Under the Ashiyan Education City initiative, the group is also planning to establish educational institutions, including a school, college and university, near Ashiyan City.
In addition, Ashiyan Food and Beverage Industries Limited produces essential consumer goods such as bottled drinking water, tissue paper, flour, edible oil and other daily necessities, according to the company.
