Apex wins twin honours at retail asia awards 2025

Apex Footwear Ltd. has been honoured for the second consecutive year at the Retail Asia Awards 2025, securing the titles of "Footwear Retailer of the Year – Bangladesh" and "Sustainability Initiative of the Year – Bangladesh". The awards were presented on June 4, 2025, at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.

The Retail Asia Awards recognise excellence and innovation in the region's retail sector, celebrating companies that are transforming customer experience, advancing sustainability, and setting new benchmarks in product and business practices.

This year's ceremony brought together leading global brands, including H&M, IKEA Hong Kong, Swarovski, Skechers Singapore, Birkenstock South East Asia, and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Singapore. Apex was evaluated through a rigorous judging process by industry leaders from KPMG China, EY-Parthenon Asia Pacific, PwC, Euromonitor International, and RSM Singapore, among others.

Apex Footwear previously received the same accolades at the 2024 awards, marking this as a back-to-back win and reinforcing its position as a pioneer in Bangladesh's retail and sustainability journey.

From a single 400 sq ft store in 1997 to over 500 locations nationwide, Apex has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, trend-forward designs and exceptional customer service, resulting in consistent year-on-year growth.

Apex has also embedded sustainability at the core of its strategy. The company aims to achieve a 65% reduction in CO₂ emissions by 2027. Currently, 40% of its manufacturing operations are powered by solar energy, and 96% of its leather is sourced from certified tanneries. Other initiatives include rainwater harvesting, the use of recycled materials, and responsible energy consumption.

"We are deeply grateful to our customers, whose trust fuels our growth," said an Apex spokesperson. "This recognition strengthens our resolve to set new benchmarks in fashion, retail innovation, and environmental responsibility."
