Ami Probashi launches visa verification service for migrant workers
Ami Probashi, a comprehensive digital platform with more than nine million users, has launched a new service to help Bangladeshi migrants travelling to Oman, Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia verify the authenticity of their visas before departure.
The initiative aims to protect migrants from fraud and ensure a safer and more secure migration process. The service is already live and is available exclusively through the platform's helpline number, 16768.
Under the service, migrants can call the helpline and provide their visa details, which are then verified by the Ami Probashi team. Once the process is completed, customers receive an SMS confirming whether the visa is valid or invalid. If a visa cannot be found in the relevant system, the message advises the customer to contact the concerned country's embassy for further clarification. If the visa is verified and approved by the respective government, the customer receives a confirmation SMS.
The service can be accessed by paying a small service fee and is designed to offer quick and convenient verification. By introducing this facility, Ami Probashi seeks to address a critical gap in the migration process, enabling Bangladeshi workers to travel with greater confidence while reducing the risk of fraudulent visa practices.
Commenting on the launch, Managing Director and Founder of Ami Probashi Tarique Ekramul Haque said, "Our mission is to make migration safer and more transparent for all Bangladeshi workers. By providing a quick and reliable visa verification system, we aim to reduce the risks associated with fraudulent visas and empower our citizens to travel with peace of mind. This service is a significant step towards protecting our migrants and ensuring their overseas journey begins securely."
For further information or assistance, migrants are encouraged to contact the service helpline at 16768.
Launched in mid-2020, the Ami Probashi app is the first of its kind developed for current and aspiring Bangladeshi migrants. The platform works to address migration-related challenges through technology-driven solutions.
