Amalendu Roy joins Premier Bank as Deputy Managing Director
Veteran banker Amalendu Roy has been appointed as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of The Premier Bank PLC.
Before joining Premier Bank, Roy served as DMD, Head of Corporate Branch, and Head of ICCD at United Commercial Bank PLC. Over his 28-year-long banking career, he has held various key leadership roles, particularly in branch banking operations.
Roy began his professional journey in 1996 as a Probationary Officer at Uttara Bank PLC. He later worked at National Bank PLC before moving to United Commercial Bank PLC, where he gained extensive experience in different banking domains.

An alumnus of the University of Dhaka, Roy holds a postgraduate degree and has participated in numerous local and international training programmes, seminars, and workshops on leadership, credit, and foreign exchange.
