Africa-Bangladesh trade summit to be held in Abuja in October

Businesses, investors and policymakers from Bangladesh, Nigeria and other African countries will gather in Abuja on 6–7 October for a two-day trade show and business summit aimed at expanding cross-border commerce and investment.

The Africa Bangladesh Trade Show & Business Summit | Nigeria 2026 will be held at the Abuja Continental Hotel, according to a press release.

The Africa Bangladesh Business Forum (ABBF) is organising the event, which Kingmansa presents, under the theme "Connecting Markets. Creating Opportunities. Building Partnerships."

The summit will connect businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, government representatives and trade organisations from Bangladesh, Nigeria and across Africa, while promoting long-term commercial cooperation.

The organisers identified garments and textiles, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, food processing, information technology, construction materials and consumer goods as sectors offering opportunities for Bangladeshi companies in Nigeria.

The event will also showcase Bangladesh's manufacturing and export capabilities to businesses in Nigeria and other African countries.

Its programme will include an international trade exhibition, business summit, keynote sessions, pre-arranged business-to-business meetings, engagement with government and institutional representatives, investment discussions, a start-up showcase, Business Excellence Awards and networking sessions.

The organisers expect trade delegations, exhibitors, investors, policymakers, chamber representatives and corporate executives to attend.

Zahirul Haq, founder and president of ABBF, said the event was intended to create practical business links between Africa and Bangladesh.

"By bringing businesses and institutions together in Abuja, we aim to transform the strengths of both markets into long-term trade, investment and partnership opportunities," he said.

Participation is open to exhibitors, business delegates, sponsors, speakers, start-ups and institutional partners, and interested organisations are invited to confirm their participation by 7 August.
