AB Bank launches three new Islamic deposit products

AB Bank has expanded its Shariah-compliant banking portfolio with the launch of three new deposit products — AB Maahir, AB Islamic DPS, and AB Hajj Deposit Scheme.
The products were officially launched at a ceremony inaugurated by Syed Mizanur Rahman, Managing Director and CEO of AB Bank. The event was attended by Dr Hafiz Muztaba Riza Ahmed, Chairman of AB Bank Shariah Supervisory Committee, along with members of the bank's senior management.
AB Maahir is a savings product offering higher quarterly profits than general Mudarabah savings accounts, with a minimum balance requirement of Tk 5,000 and enhanced features tailored to meet the needs of customers seeking stable, Shariah-based returns.
AB Islamic DPS is a monthly deposit plan with flexible tenures of up to 20 years. It includes complimentary Takaful insurance coverage of up to Tk 50 lakh, aiming to offer long-term financial security to depositors.
AB Hajj Deposit Scheme is designed to support customers in planning and saving for Hajj over flexible tenures ranging from 1 to 20 years. The scheme offers competitive half-yearly profits and attractive options for premature encashment.
The bank's leadership expressed confidence that these new products would enhance financial inclusion while meeting the growing demand for ethical and faith-based banking in Bangladesh.
