AAUB holds 19th academic council meeting at Dhaka Campus
The 19th meeting of the Academic Council of Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh (AAUB), took place on 5 March 2026 at the university's conference room on its Dhaka campus.
Air Vice Marshal M Mustafizur Rahman, BSP, GUP, nswc, afwc, psc, GD(P), vice-chancellor of AAUB, presided over the meeting.
In his opening remarks, the vice-chancellor stated that the aviation and aerospace sector is rapidly evolving and technology-driven, and plays an important role in the global economy and scientific progress. He noted that the university is prioritising modern and updated curricula, advanced teaching methods, expanded research activities, and stronger industry–academia collaboration.
He added that AAUB is working to develop skilled professionals through practical training, international-standard laboratories, and infrastructure development.
The vice-chancellor noted that AAUB students have achieved recognition by participating in international competitions such as light aircraft design, UAV design, and CanSat design, and through research papers published in international journals. He congratulated students, faculty members, and supervisors, stating that the university would continue to support research, innovation, and the establishment of new laboratories.
He also thanked the Bangladesh Air Force for its continued support and sought cooperation from council members to help achieve the university's goals through active participation and constructive feedback.
At the meeting, the chair presented a summary of activities undertaken since the 18th Academic Council meeting, which was held on 16 October 2025.
Members from the University Grants Commission, Bangladesh Air Force, BUET, BATC, CAAB, and BMU attended the meeting, along with other AAUB members.
