Ministry of Defence gets Tk42,497 crore allocation

A total of Taka 42,497 crore has been allocated for the Ministry of Defence for the fiscal year (FY) 2026-2027, which is Tk1,835 crore more than the allocation in the revised budget of the FY 2025-2026.
Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury unveiled the proposal while presenting the Tk9.38 lakh crore national budget in parliament today (11 June), allocating the amount for the ministry.
