BAF procures 7 K-8W aircraft from China

With an aim to modernise the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), the government under the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken steps to induct seven China made K-8W aircraft from China.
Under the government to government agreement through CATIC, seven aircraft arrived at Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haque in Chattogram on Thursday, read a Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
BAF pilots carried the aircraft in a ferry flight from Dehong Mangsgi of China.
The mission was led by Group Captain A K M Abdur Rajjaque, psc, GD(P) of Bangladesh Air Force.

The aircrafts were received at the BAF Base Zahurul Haque following the traditional customs of Bangladesh Air Force, the statement added.
Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc including Principal Staff Officers of Air Headquarters, Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Zahurul Haque and senior officers were present on the occasion.
