Woman died at Akhaura tested positive for coronavirus

The woman, who died after coming Brahmanbaria's Akhaura from Narayanganj, was infected with coronavirus.

Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tahmina Akhter Reina said, "After the woman died, her sample was collected by Akhaura Health Department. The test result came positive."

"We are going to the village to take more strict steps for controlling public movement," she added.

The 40-year-old woman and her husband used to live in Narayanganj. She was suffering from fever and cold after coming to the village, but she did not inform anyone being scared.

She died on April 9 and her death caused panic among the locals.
