State minister for foreign affairs donates ventilators, N95 masks to police hospital
The minister handed over the ventilators and N95 masks to Inspector General of Bangladesh Police Benazir Ahmed monday

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam has donated three ventilators and N95 masks to the police hospital to help in the treatment of frontline police officials infected with coronavirus.
The minister handed over the ventilators and N95 masks to Inspector General of Bangladesh Police Benazir Ahmed at the Police Headquarters in Dhaka on Monday.
The director of Barinda Medical College and Hospital and the state minister's younger brother Md Saiful Alam was also present during the handover ceremony.
The ventilators, made in Ireland, were previously used to treat patients at Barinda Medical College and Hospital, a private hospital in Rajshahi established by the state minister's father M Shamsuddin. Md Shahriar Alam was the founding chairman of the hospital.
The N95 masks that were donated alongside the ventilators were purchased from China and are provided on Shahriar Alam's personal initiative.
