Pran-Rfl lends hand to coronavirus-hit people

The country's business giant Pran-Rfl Group has extended its supports to those who are in deep crisis due to the countrywide shutdown derived by the coronavirus pandemic.
To this respect, the business group provided food items for poor people in many parts of the country, said a press release on Saturday.
The food items the company provided include – rice, dal, salt, biscuit, and noodles.
The company distributed these items among several thousand families on Thursday and Saturday in various points of Dhaka, Gazipur, Narsingdi, Habiganj, Rajshahi, Natore, Dinajpur and Rangpur districts.
Government officials and local representatives helped them distribute the relief goods, the press release read.
Kamruzzaman Kamal, marketing director, Pran-Rfl Group, said, "From our corporate social responsibility, we are working in many ways during this global crisis derived by the coronavirus pandemic."
"Currently, many people especially poor are suffering from food shortage as they do not have jobs to do. This is because we are distributing foods among them," he said.
