The government has once again adopted a "No Mask, No Service" policy at all offices in the country to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The cabinet division on Tuesday issued a six-point guideline in this regard.

According to the circular, wearing masks at all public and private institutions, market places, and places of worship, has been made mandatory from now on.

People concerned were requested to implement the guidelines issued based on the recommendations of the National Advisory Committee on Covid-19 at its 14 June meeting.

The guidelines are:

People at all public and private offices, social institutions, haat-bazaars, shopping malls, educational institutions, mosques, and other places throughout the country must use masks.

All public and private institutions were asked not to provide services to people not wearing a mask.

It also encouraged people to take Covid-19 testing in case of any symptoms including fever or persistent cold.

There will be legal action if anybody is found without a mask in shopping malls, restaurants, or hotels

All media should be requested to motivate the public to abide by the health rules.

The Imams at all mosques will publicise this to encourage people to wear a mask and follow health rules.

The country reported three deaths and 2,087 new cases from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours till 8am Tuesday with a rise in the positivity rate.

So far, 29,145 people have died and 1,969,361 have tested positive for the virus in Bangladesh since 2020.
