The company is distributing PPE, imported KN-95 masks, gloves, and protective goggles to hospitals tackling the novel coronavirus

Grameen Telecom provides healthcare equipment to hospitals

Grameen Telecom is producing and distributing high-quality personal protective equipment (PPE) gowns to protect the health of all frontline healthcare workers – including doctors and nurses. 

Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in Bangladesh, Grameen Fabrics and Fashions Ltd has been producing PPE gowns for healthcare workers on an ongoing basis. 

Their financial support is from Grameen Telecom and most of the PPE is being supplied to  different hospitals and healthcare institutions across the country.

In addition, Grameen Telecom is distributing imported KN-95 masks, gloves and protective goggles to hospitals treating novel coronavirus. 

Grameen Telecom has distributed 5,500 high-quality PPE gowns, 16,500 KN-95 masks, 11,000 gloves and 990 sets of protective goggles to 11 hospitals in seven divisional cities outside Dhaka. 

The hospitals are: Chittagong General Hospital, Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases Chittagong, Khulna Medical College and Hospital, Khulna Diabetes Hospital, Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital, SK Hospital Mymensingh, Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital, Rajshahi Infectious Disease Hospital, Corona Isolation Hospital Rangpur, Sahid Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital Sylhet, and Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and Hospital Barisal.

Grameen Telecom activities to distribute protective gear to healthcare workers engaged in novel coronavirus treatment, and to those in organisations engaged in tackling Covid-19, will continue until the novel coronavirus crisis is resolved.
