Entry and exit in Khagrachhari banned

If any person wants to leave Khagrachhari he will have to seek permission from the respective Upazila Nirbahi Officer and if anyone want to enter Khagrachhari he will have to be certified by Union Parishad Chaiman of the concerned area

Ban has been imposed for entry into Khagrachhari and exit from  the district.

The decision was taken at a meeting of district corona infection prevention committee held at the conference room of district administration on Saturday afternoon.  

District administration has confirmed the decision, said Khagrachhari Deputy Commissioner Protap Chondro Biswas. All the shops except medicine shop will remain closed everyday from tomorrow (Sunday ) morning to 2pm. Decision was taken to stop movement of easy-bike.

An emergency meeting was called at the conference room of Khagrachhari Deputy Commissioner Protap Chondro Biswas. 

Refugee Affairs Taskforce Chairman Kujendro Lal Tripura MP, Khagrachhari Region Commander Brig Gen Md Foyzur Rahman, Guimara Region Commander Brig Gen Md Shahriar Zaman, Police Super Mohammad Abdul Aziz, Civil Surgeon  Dr Nupur Kanti Das and Khagrachhari Municipality Mayor Md Rafiqul Alam were among others present at the meeting, presided over by Deputy Commissioner Protap Chondro Biswas. 

Deputy Commissioner Protap Chondro Biswas informed that the check-post will be effective from Ramgar, Manikchhari and Mohalchhari of the district. If any person wants to leave Khagrachhari, then he will have to seek permission from the respective Upazila Nirbahi Officer. On the other hand, if anyone want to enter Khagrachhari, then he will have to avail have to be certified by Union Parishad Chaiman of the concerned area. 

Besides, decision was taken the hats and bazaars will have to be handed over to adjacent open field. Decision was also taken to close down all the shops except medicine shop and stop movement of easy-bike.
