Legendary marketing personality Syed Alamgir has joined as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Akij Ventures Limited and its subsidiary, Akij Food and Beverage Limited recently.

Alamgir is a highly regarded person for his contribution and success in the marketing arena both nationally and internationally. He is the only person in this region whose marketing success story has been included in the book, Principles of Marketing - authored by Dr. Philip Kotler, regarded globally as the father of marketing.  This is a text book used in the classroom around the globe for the marketing students, said a press release.

In 2019, Alamgir was awarded the Marketing Super Star title - the highest accolade in the marketing sector of Bangladesh by Channel I and Bangladesh Brand Forum. He is also recipient of many other awards from home and abroad. Alamgir is a distinguished member of the UNICEF Private Sector Advisory Board. He also President of many professional bodies.

Alamgir completed his MBA degree from Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka and obtained a PhD from University of New Castle, USA.

Alamgir started his career with May & Baker limited, a UK Pharmaceuticals company after his studies at IBA. He joined Jamuna Group in 1992 as Group Marketing Director and worked till 1998 prior to join in ACI Limited as Executive Director where he later on elevated to Managing Director position. 

Syed Alamgir was the Managing Director of ACI Consumer Brands, ACI Salt Limited, ACI Pure Flour Limited and ACI Foods Limited. He is the board member of several other companies including Foreign Joint Ventures of ACI. 

Alamgir was part time faculty of North South University, South East University and Daffodil International University for a number of years. 

The Successful and legendary marketing personality will be working as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Akij Ventures Limited and its subsidiary, Akij Food and Beverage Limited from now onwards. Akij Family believes that his joining will circulate new blood and will speed up the work process of Akij Venture Limited and Akij Food and Beverage Limited.
