Othoba.com offers special discounts on purchase of daily essentials 

To encourage customers to purchase daily essentials from home amid coronavirus pandemic, the e-commerce site Othoba.com is giving special discounts on food items. 

The customers there could enjoy special offers for more than one hundred grocery items including rice, edible oil, milk, and spices, said a media statement on Sunday.

The GP Star users are getting a 5 percent extra discount while the UCB, MTB, and NRB bank's credit card holders are also getting 5 to 12 percent cash back for purchasing products from the site.

Besides, the company also gives up to Tk100 as a discount against the whole purchase of those who do not buy products on discounted prices. 

The offer will continue till May 31.

Mahmudul Haque Ullash, head of business at Othoba.com said the company has over two thousand food items in its products line. 

 "We have taken the necessary steps for home delivery so that customers can get products on time. We are trying to serve each order within 48 hours," he said.

The demand of daily necessary items has increased four to five times than before. Othoba.com is getting new customers every day, the press statement said.
