Nestlé Bangladesh continues to support distressed people in response to Covid-19

The company has donated nutritious Nestlé products worth Tk1.7 crore to the troubled community and frontline fighters

As a part of its continued support to people who are in distressed condition due to the challenging time of Covid-19 pandemic, Nestlé Bangladesh has donated nutritious Nestlé products worth Tk1.7 crore to Bangladesh Police and deputy commissioners of Kurigram, Gaibandha, Barguna to be distributed to the troubled community and frontline fighters.

Appreciating the initiative, the deputy commissioners and DIG of Bangladesh Police have expressed gratitude saying this would help many to meet the nutritional requirement of people at this crisis, particularly the front-line fighters who are risking their lives every day to bring order in the country for tackling the spread of the virus, reads a press release.

"Nestlé Bangladesh acknowledges the national crisis the country is going through, especially the struggle of the community to meet the nutritional requirement at this hour of need. We haven't forgotten that the pandemic is not over yet and hence we have continued to extend our support to the community," said Deepal Abeywickrema, Managing Director of the company.

"We are especially grateful to the frontline fighters who are making sure the virus is contained while risking their own lives. Thus, Nestlé Bangladesh pledges to continue to support the society in times like the present one and we feel proud to reiterate our values by doing this," he added.

Nestlé has reiterated once again about caring for the society they operate in, as it is part of its core value through reaching out to people who needs support
