Guardian Life Insurance Limited (GLI) has launched an online programme for the professional development of youth.

The programme titled "Guardian Life Insurance Presents Accelerate- 'Guardian of the Future" has been designed to assist the young community by providing  knowledge and skills on four critical dimensions – discovering themselves amidst the new norm; empowering themselves towards self-development; self-management as they embark in the career journey and to lead themselves to self-mastery, says a press release.

Lighthouse Bangladesh in collaboration with Guardian Life launched this 8-hour "Finishing School Program" via a virtual launching ceremony on September 5 in the presence of representatives of 15+ partner educational institutions and corporate personalities.

The program aims to develop 200 Guardians within the next 2 months. Dhaka University, Daffodil University and Presidency University have already joined as strategic partners and 15 more educational institutions are in process of getting on board.

A certificate will be provided to the participating students after the evaluation process and their CVs will be forwarded to corporate employers.

Najmus Ahmed (Albab), chief executive officer (CEO) of Lighthouse, said, "The program will focus on embracing the new normal, exploring new opportunities, facing uncertainty; after this pandemic is over."

M M Monirul Alam, CEO of Guardian Life, said, "GLI understands the importance of skilled youth and always promotes skill development, especially in youth".
