Grameen UNIQLO celebrates its 10th year anniversary

Grameen UNIQLO, a social business organization, has celebrated its 10th year anniversary in the retail apparel sector of Bangladesh, said a press release on Tuesday.  

UNIQLO Social Business Limited Bangladesh is operating its business as Grameen UNIQLO in Bangladesh. It is the core company of many established & renowned companies like UNIQLO, GU, Theory, G Brand, PLST, Princes Tam Tam & many more. This brand started its journey to for the social development of Bangladesh.

In the beginning, the brand started its journey by selling one-dollar sanitary pads among the women in villages. Afterwards, it started its direct retail business in 2013.

Managing director of the brand Nazmul Haque said, "Our continuous efforts to change the lifestyle of the people of Bangladesh and for the welfare of the society is not a one-day affair."

The journey of today's achievement started in September 2010. "In the beginning, we used to sell sanitary products and clothes to create health awareness among the women of the village. Since then, we have started its journey in the mainstream social business of selling readymade garments through the first two stores in 2013 to further improve the lifestyle of the people of Bangladesh as a whole."

"Since the launch of the store, we have been selling various unique and functional garments at relatively affordable prices through exceptional store management and Japanese quality control and supervision."

"We are fully utilising the profits from business for business expansion, job creation and social development. Our basic principle is comfortable. We are trying to ensure comfortable clothing, comfortable shops and comfortable lifestyle," he said.

"At present we have showrooms in Dhaka and surrounding cities, but we want to spread our contribution to this social business all over the country. We will work with three objectives in the future."

  1. To make the human resource capable for the world market, those who are working in the business, by giving them the highest priority and to become the ideal business by ensuring best working environment.
  2. Work together for the development the technology of local apparel industries and to provide necessary training to the human resource of Garment industry for a healthy and proper way of living.
  3. To the help the victims of poverty and natural disasters by standing in their side and through this we will become the loyal business of these miserable and helpless people.

On its 10th year anniversary, the brand has introduced many new special products, like UV protected kameez, which will help to prevent the Ultra Violet Ray of Sun, Noniron Easy-Care Shirt and famous Denim KAIHARA of Japan.

Moreover, customers get to enjoy many offers and many gifts during their shopping. Grameen UNIQLO offers both Offline means options to shop from store and Online through Home Delivery.

Currently Grameen UNIQLO's stores at Bashundhara city, Jamnuna future park, Dhanmondhi science lab, Katabon store, Khilgaon Taltola, Naya paltan, Mohammodpur Ring road, Dhanmondhi metro shopping mall, Jatrabari Shahid Faruq Road, Wari Rankin Street, Gulshan Badda link road, Savar city center, New Elephant road, Bailey road, Joydebpur bazar and Narsingdi Buakur Intersection.
