Genex Infosys Ltd has started selling its different kinds of digital lifestyle products at Grameenphone service centres.

The two companies have recently signed an agreement in this regard.

Initially, the sale has started at six centres of the Grameenphone, the leading mobile operator in the country, said Salah Uddin Nasir, head of corporate affairs and administration of Genex.

Genex, a business processes outsourcing and IT services provider in the country, is a UK-based company, which started its operation here in 2012.

"Grameenphone has many service centres across the country. The sale of our products will increase, if we can use these centres," Nasir said.

Thus, the profit of the company would increase, he added.

Genex imports and sells different electronics goods including mobile handsets of renowned global brands.

The main businesses of the company are business processes outsourcing, data entry, data processing, IT support, software maintenance, call centre service, digital content management and website development.

In September, the company inked another agreement with Robi Axiata Ltd to provide Robi's customers with multi play internet service for five years.

Nasir said there are around 9.44 crore internet service users in the country. Of them, 93.87 percent use the service through mobile phones, he added.

Genex collected Tk20 crore from local share market through initial public offerings (IPO) to expand its businesses.

Around Tk12 crore or 61 percent of the amount will be invested in expanding its call centre business and Tk6 crore will be used to pay back its loans.

The earning per share (EPS) of the company was Tk1.73 in the first three quarters (July-March) in 2018-19 accounting year.

The   EPS of the Genex has increased by 22 percent when compared to that of the previous year.

The net asset value per share of the company is Tk16.19.

The price of Genex share rose by 459 percent on its first trading day in stock market exchange on February 6.

The firm started selling its share at Tk10 face value on the day and the price rose to Tk55.90 at the closing of the session.

On Sunday, the price of its share increased by 1.6 percent and stood at Tk61.8.

The highest price of Genex's share was Tk64.4 while the lowest was Tk31.8 in last one year.
