Emma announces new committee

Electronic Media Marketing Association (EMMA) announced its new committee for two years term with Md Anisur Rahman Tarek, head of marketing, News24, and Gautam Chandra Das of ntv as its new president and general secretary respectively.

Tarek and Das were elected to the posts through an election held on 23 January. They along with everyone else in the new committee won unopposed, the association said on a press release on Sunday.

The association formally handed over the charge to the elected people at a city restaurant on Saturday, it added.

Besides, Sayed Nabil Ashraf of Gan Bangla TV, SB Bulbul of Ananda TV, Harunur Rashid of ATN News, Shibli Sadiq Kamrul of Ekattar TV and Ziaur Rahman Suman of Channel i have been elected as vice-president while Taslim Chowdhury of Mohona TV and Abbas Usman Reza of Independent TV have been made assistant general secretary.

Among other office, bearers are Vice Presidents Syed Nabil Ashraf, Gaan Bangla TV, SB Bulbul, Ananda TV, Harunur Rashid, ATN News, Shibli Sadik Kamrul, Ekattur TV, Ziaur Rahman Sumon, Channel I; Assistant General Secretary Taslim Chowdhury, Mohona TV, Abbas Usman Reza, Independent TV; Organizing Secretary Md Rahatuzzaman, Banglavision, Treasurer Rakibul Hasan, Duronto TV, Publicity and Publication Secretary Ilias Hossain, Mohna TV, Women Affairs Secretary Karin Kamal, ATN News, Sports and Cultural Secretary Ferdous Naeem Parag, ETV, Law Secretary Abdul Malek, ATN Bangla, Office secretary Abdus Samad Sohag, Maasranga TV.
