The country's leading industrial and business federations have predicted that BanglaCAT will continue to play a leading role in the nation's socio-economic development.
50 years ago, Bangladesh became an independent nation. At the time, it only had the capacity to generate 300MW of electricity, with the Kaptai Hydroelectric Project in Ghorashal, Siddhirganj being the main source of production. Most people and places did not have access to electricity. Even in Dhaka, there were placed which did not have electricity coverage.
With days away from Bangladesh's 50th birthday, the country is now providing almost 100% electricity coverage. It has become the epitome of a nation that has risen from the ashes of war and poverty only to establish itself as one of the emerging economies of the world.
The challenges of 2020 were not only new, but were significant enough to sink us completely. But we didn't. We persevered, through sheer determination and will. With this in mind, BanglaCAT wishes to take this nation forward and further on the path of prosperity, once again working hand in hand with the nation to face the challenges to come with determination.
