Yunus welcomes India-Pakistan ceasefire, lauds US mediation
He also expressed his “deep appreciation” to US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for their “effective mediation”

Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has welcomed the decision by India and Pakistan to implement an immediate ceasefire and resume diplomatic talks to resolve their ongoing tensions.
In a statement issued from the Chief Adviser's Press Wing today (10 May), Yunus said, "I most sincerely commend Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of India and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan for agreeing to a ceasefire with immediate effect and to engage in talks."
He also expressed his "deep appreciation" to US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for their "effective mediation".
"Bangladesh will continue to support our two neighbours to resolve differences through diplomacy," the chief adviser added.
