Woman killed after being struck by train in Sitakunda
No identity documents or personal belongings were found with the deceased, and her identity remains unknown.
A woman was killed after being struck by the Mymensingh-bound Bijoy Express at Chhoto Darogarhat in Chattogram's Sitakunda upazila this morning (14 August).
The deceased, estimated to be around 50 years old, was on the Dhaka-bound railway track when the incident occurred, said Sub-Inspector Ashraf Siddique, in-charge of the Sitakunda Railway Police outpost.
"She died instantly at the scene. Upon receiving the report, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body," he said.

The body has been sent to the Chattogram Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, SI Ashraf added.
