US citizen found dead in Dhaka hotel, police suspect natural causes
The police handed over the body without an autopsy to a medical team present with the embassy officials

The body of a United States citizen was recovered from a room at The Westin Dhaka hotel in Gulshan yesterday (31 August).
The deceased has been identified as Terrence Arvelle Jackson, aged around 50, said Hafizur Rahman, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Gulshan Police Station.
According to the OC, hotel staff became concerned after they did not receive any response from Jackson's room in the afternoon and informed the police.
Police and US embassy officials subsequently went to the hotel, opened the room with a master key, and found the man dead.
"We reviewed the CCTV footage for the last two days. There was nothing suspicious. We primarily suspect that he died of natural causes," the OC said.
The police handed over the body without an autopsy to a medical team present with the embassy officials.
Jackson was in Bangladesh for a business trip and had checked into the hotel on 29 August.
