US-Bangla Airlines to launch direct flights to Riyadh from 21 April

US-Bangla Airlines is set to commence direct flights from Dhaka to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, starting on 21 April. 

The airline will operate five flights a week on this route using its 436-seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft.  

According to a press release, ticket sales for the Dhaka-Riyadh route began today (5 March) through all US-Bangla Airlines sales channels.

The airline will operate flights from Dhaka to Riyadh on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. 

Departing from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 1:35pm, the flights will land in Riyadh at 5:10pm local time. The return flights will depart Riyadh at 7:15pm and arrive in Dhaka at 4:00am the following day.  

The minimum one-way fare from Dhaka to Riyadh, inclusive of taxes and surcharges, has been set at Tk54,065, while the return fare is Tk81,998. 

From Riyadh to Dhaka, the one-way fare starts at 846 Saudi Riyals, with a return fare of 1,458 Saudi Riyals.  

US-Bangla Airlines said that the launch of this direct route is aimed at fulfilling the long-standing expectations of expatriate Bangladeshis in Saudi Arabia. 

"To ensure that remittance earners can travel conveniently from Saudi Arabia to any domestic destination in Bangladesh in the shortest possible time, US-Bangla Airlines will remain attentive to their needs," the statement added.  

The airline currently has a fleet of 24 aircraft, including two Airbus 330-300 and nine Boeing 737-800s. It operates flights on all domestic routes, as well as international destinations including Jeddah, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Doha, Malé, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Chennai, and Kolkata.
