Unidentified man found dead in Ctg roadside; electrocution suspected
The body was discovered by local residents, who immediately alerted the authorities

Police recovered the body of an unidentified young man from the roadside in the Goalpara area of Char Lakshya Union, Karnaphuli upazila, Chattogram, this afternoon (9 July).
Initial investigations suggest the man, believed to be around 28 years old, may have died from electrocution after coming into contact with a live electric wire brought down by rain.
The body was discovered by local residents, who immediately alerted the authorities.
However, the deceased could not be identified by anyone in the vicinity.
Muhammad Sharif, officer-in-charge of Karnaphuli Police Station, stated, "The body was lying beside the road with an injury mark on the right hand, consistent with an electric shock. A severed electric wire was found nearby. We suspect the wire snapped during the rain and led to the fatal incident."
The body has been sent to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination to confirm the exact cause of death.
