Two motorcyclists killed in collision with parked truck on Ctg-Cox's Bazar highway

Two young motorcyclists were killed in a road accident when their motorcycle crashed into a parked truck on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway today (13 June).
The incident occurred around 8:30am near Moulovir Dokan area of Kaliaish union under Satkania upazila.
The deceased were identified as Md Rafi (19) and Md Bappi (22), both residents of the Badamtol area under Chandgaon Police Station in Chattogram city. Rafi was the son of Nazim Uddin Liton, and Bappi was the son of Babul Hossain. The two were cousins.
According to Dohazari Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shubho Ranjan Chakma, the cousins were traveling from Chattogram to Bandarban on a motorcycle for a trip. Upon reaching the Moulovir Dokan area, they reportedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with a stationary truck on the roadside.
"Eyewitnesses rushed the severely injured youths to nearby healthcare centers. Rafi was declared dead at the Dohazari Health Complex, while Bappi succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chattogram city.
"A case is under process in this connection and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash," the OC said.
