Trivedi seeks Modi’s guidance on strengthening ‘enduring’ Bangladesh ties
Trivedi’s meeting with Modi came a day after he called on Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and other leaders in Dhaka.
India's High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi yesterday (11 August) sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance on further strengthening the "multifaceted and enduring" bilateral relationship between India and Bangladesh.
"High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi called on Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today (12 August) and sought his guidance on further strengthening the multifaceted and enduring bilateral relationship between India and Bangladesh in a constructive manner with a people-centric approach," the High Commission of India in Bangladesh said in a post on X.
Trivedi's meeting with Modi came a day after he called on Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and other leaders in Dhaka.

During the meeting, Rahman raised the issue of expediting the extradition of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
On Monday (10 August) , Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal told reporters that Bangladesh's extradition request was under consideration "as per our existing procedure".
Meanwhile, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor met India's National Security Adviser Ajit Doval in New Delhi on Monday and discussed security-related issues.
