Metro rail services will remain suspended on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr, Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) announced today (29 March).

In a Facebook post, DMTCL stated that metro rail operations will be closed for a single day in observance of Eid-ul-Fitr, but services will resume as per the regular schedule from the following day.

Earlier this month, metro rail authorities introduced a revised schedule for Ramadan. While the schedule remained unchanged for the first 15 days, the last 15 days saw an extension of operations by one hour in both directions.

As per the updated Ramadan schedule, the last train from Motijheel departs at 9:40pm, while the last train from Uttara leaves at 9:00pm.

Currently, the metro rail operates from 7:10am to 9:40pm on all days except Friday. On Fridays, operations run from 3:00pm to 9:40pm.
