Train derails in Cumilla, Dhaka-bound services suspended

A coach of the Dhaka-bound Mahanagar Express train derailed in Cumilla's Nangalkot this afternoon (16 February), disrupting train services on the Dhaka-bound line.

He said the train had left Hasanpur Station when one of the middle coaches slightly derailed.
Although the accident was not major, train movement on the Dhaka-bound line has been temporarily suspended due to the derailment.
Notably, train services on the Chattogram-bound line remain normal.
Following the incident, rescue operations have begun, and it may take some time before services on the Dhaka-bound line return to normal, the station master added.
