Trader rescued alive from sack 14 days after abduction in Cox's Bazar
Kazal was rescued from Baniarchara area in the upazila around 8am today (20 April)

Police have rescued a trader alive from inside of a sack at Chakaria upazila in Cox's Bazar after 14 days of getting abducted.
The victim was identified as Zia Uddin Kazal, son of Nur Hossain from Hetalia village under ward no-3 in Khutakhali union of the upazila.
Kazal was rescued from Baniarchara area in the upazila around 8am today (20 April). He was abducted from in front of Khutakhali Central Jame Masjid around 8pm on 6 April, police said.
Nusrat Jahan, the victim's wife, lodged a case against some seven to eight people with Chakaria Police Station on 9 April, naming four individuals and accusing another three to four unnamed people, according to police.
The accused who have been named in the case are Shibbir Ahmed, 50, Md Salahuddin, 36, Ali Ahmad, 45 and Md Mintu, 40.
Md Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Chakaria Police Station, stated, "Kazal was forcibly taken into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and abducted by a group of individuals using two motorcycles and the auto-rickshaw, in a planned way due to previous enmity."
Kazal was released and the abductors fled after police carried out intense surveillance. He was rescued unharmed during a drive this morning, the OC added.
