Titas Gas warns of severe low pressure until midnight tomorrow due to terminal maintenance
The state-run gas distributor said the temporary shutdown of one LNG terminal had significantly reduced the volume of re-gasified LNG supplied to the national grid.
Gas supply in areas under Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited will remain under severe pressure until midnight tomorrow (16 February) due to reduced LNG-based supply following maintenance work at a terminal.
In a press release issued today (15 February), the state-run gas distributor said the temporary shutdown of one liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal had significantly reduced the volume of re-gasified LNG supplied to the national grid.
"As a result, severe low gas pressure will prevail at consumer ends across all categories in the Titas franchise area until midnight on 16 February 2026," the statement reads.
Titas apologised for the temporary inconvenience caused to customers and sought their cooperation during the maintenance period.
The company did not specify when the maintenance began or the extent of the supply reduction, but said normal pressure would resume once the terminal returns to operation.
Titas Gas supplies gas to households, industries, power plants and commercial establishments in the greater Dhaka region and surrounding areas.
