Three detained from pro-AL flash rally in Savar

Police today (26 March) detained three individuals for allegedly chanting provocative slogans during a flash rally in support of the Awami League at the National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar.
Confirming the incident, Shahinur Kabir, Dhaka district additional police superintendent, said, "Around five to six individuals attempted to create instability on Independence Day by chanting provocative slogans at the National Martyrs' Memorial. They were apprehended by Ashulia police."
The detainees – Selim Reza, Md Shahidul Islam, and Md Sohel Parvez – were identified as members of the Muktijoddha Projonmo League, the police stated.
Eyewitnesses reported that around 11:30am, at least 50 people, carrying red flags, were chanting slogans in support of the Awami League. Afterward, locals chased them away, and some individuals were reportedly beaten.
The police intervened shortly thereafter, taking the detainees to the Ashulia police station.
